    ............SWIM is a 4-piece pop/rock band out of Vancouver, B.C. with a big sound. The bands thick sultry melodic vocal power sets the band apart. SWIM hits hard with a modern sound, infectious groove and driving guitars.....SWIM took the plunge with Phil Russos passion to write and perform music.Phil began the groups journey with a mitt full of music that people could relate to.Phils stage presence and sultry vocals grab the audience and caress them. He has nurtured and developed his talents and is the backbone of SWIMs sound.....His brother Anthony Russo boarded the bus to give SWIM its drummer. Anthony alias Vito creates the groove to which SWIM rocks to. He is a hard hitter, with an energetic live performance that holds the band together.....Troy Reid caught Phils eye and the two developed a writing partnership. Troys voice adds a ballsy rock kick to SWIMs songs, while his driving guitar sound explodes. He has written songs with Dave Pickell, Warner/Canada and Ron Irving, BMG/Canada. Troy has placed music with Fox Paramount Television. ....Looking for a solid bass player, the boys set their sites on the talents of Dave Hopia, known for layin his bass tracks down in one take. Dave uses his infectious bass groove to give SWIM its rhythm and his vocal abilities to complete SWIMs big vocal sound. You can hear Daves talents on numerous artist works released in Europe and Japan.....After spending sometime in the studio recording the band began performing at The Roxy during 99.3 FM The FOXs Canadian Content show. This led to SWIM receiving air play on 99.3 The FOX in a live interview to promote SWIM and the Canadian Content Show. Following the air play and interview, the band drew the largest crowd to date for the Canadian Content Show.....SWIM was again shown support by The FOX when Indie Music Director Cory Price, who hosts INDIE NIGHT IN CANADA, played SWIM during his show. When asked about SWIM on the ROCK REPORT Dangers response was: "Through a sea of mediocre, generic bands comes Swim. Super good players, great songs and a great live show. No bullshit rock and roll."....SWIM opened for recording artists Soul Decision at their new CD release party in 2004. The band also took the stage opening for Tourist at the Jagermeister Party in 2005.
