Hi!!
I love your music, I personally consider Anglagard was the best progressive rock band of all the 90's 2000's since the late golden seventies era...

and not only because they chose to sound 70's with mellotron and Hammond, but especially because they were particularly very good composers, their music has really interesting melodies, mostly the quiet passages with flute, and for the first time and for the last time a band from the last 20 years can claim to be worth Genesis (70-76 era) or the best King Crimson, and even more.

Even their followers Wobblers or Sinkadus, who are very good, don't have that rare asset and skill.

What makes Anglagard better than the others is mostly because even if their music is very complex, intricate and technically impressive, their best skill is to create melodies, colors and have an incridible imagination with the chords in their score. So few bands can imagine interesting chord structures today, most of the time the chords we can hear are simple, not imaginative, the same as the neighbouring bands, and so on.... Each song looks like the other, only the melodies, rythms and sounds are slightly different, just to make the illusion of creation work for the common audience...
There are a lot of very good bands technically nowadays, but almost none are capable of writing melodies and chord sequences with the same skill as the Beatles, Procol Harum, Genesis and so many others from 1965 to 1975... and classical composers too.

I mean, even if they had been a pop rock band with shorter tunes and less technical approach, Anglagard would have been excellent in the same way the Supertramp of  Crime of the Century were excellent.

What I'm talking about has got a name: Grace. You can call it Melodic and Harmonic Imagination or whatever...

Anyway, very few bands or musicians today have it.

Hi Anglagard members, my name is Dan Baught. I saw your band perform to see Hybris tour in Los Angeles.  WOW. . John Wetton was there in the lobby and after the show. That was a great experience. in LA long years ago. 1994 or 95.  drove Mattias to Greg Walkers house and to the bbq at Long beach with John Therp  i hope you are all well . God Bless you all with blessings of joy and creativity,  from and to forever. The best news i have is Return to Forever is performing with Dweezil Zappa opening  in Denver in July at  the Paramount Theatre  here in Denver on 7/28/2011. Have you all been well? Have you seen or heard from John Therp/ ? I used to live in San Francisco, but now i am living in Denver, CO. Listeneing to Ozric Tentacles as i send this email. I play synths/keyboards and do radio broadcasts on public radio.Do  i have permission to broadcast the music of Anglagard? p.s. i still have a letter from Tord i have saved from 18 years ago.
