If you have anything to do with the Entertainment Industry, you have probably heard the name Big Billy Clark! This talented tastemaker has accomplished a lot and has worked with some of musics biggest artists and some of entertainments biggest talent! Briefly… Big Billy Clark started his career @ Def Jam Recordings, where he essentially worked his way from intern to running the west coast offices. Responsible for signing artists and making records in addition to overseeing daily west coast operations, he worked with all the labels roster of amazing artists including DMX, Ja Rule, Method Man, Redman, Jay-Z, Hoobastank, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Fefe Dobson, Sum 41, Foxy Brown, Montell Jordan, Christina Milian, Ashanti, cKy, Def Leppard, DJ Clue, Keith Murray, Dru Hill, Kelly Price, Hanson Slick Rick, EPMD, Jayo Felony, Domino, Sisqo and LL Cool J. After 9 years at his post at Island Def Jam Music, Clark decided to learn the road and started Tour Managing for some of the artists he worked with at the label. Clark traveled around the world including Japan, Germany & France for 2 years with Hoobastank and Christina Milian before he was brought into Atlantic Records as Senior Director of A&R by the labels President Craig Kallman. Big Billy Clark worked on Keke Palmer, who has become one of Hollywood’s youngest talents and was rated in People Magazines top 25 under 25! In 2006 Clark was then offered an executive A&R position at Sony Music where he developed and signed new artists, as well as worked with the labels roster which included Jennifer Lopez, Natasha Bedingfield, Shakira, Kat Deluna, Sean Kingston and The Fray. Now in 2010… Clark is in high demand for his diverse talents and his ability to work in a number of facets of the entertainment industry. “I’m all across the board,” he says. “I feel like these days you have to be diverse and think outside the box to be a successful executive. I have always seemed to have a great ear for music and a great eye for talent. I really enjoy managing and developing talent of all kind”. In addition to consulting for major labels and management companies across the country, Clark now manages Keke Palmer as well as runs Beets & Produce, which is a premiere production company based in Los Angeles. He recently launched a new music-based social networking site for upcoming talent to connect, collab, find talent and find work called Musicolio.com. The success of his clients and multiple ventures have established him as one of the most versatile tastemakers in the music and entertainment industry today.
