A while ago, I purposely downgraded... now I realise that there isn't a lot on television that makes me want to set time aside to watch. I'm currently really into "My Boys" though.
Books
I've loved books since I was a little girl. I remember that there used to be a neighbourhood bookstore I visited every time a new book in one of the series I was reading was to be released. The friends I am closest to know that a part of me is shaped by what I read and what I have read. I know them in similar ways. I can always tell how well someone is like me in mindset by what they happen to be reading.

About me:

My favourite band is Wide Mouth Mason.

I like music and that which relates to it. I've blocked Friend Requests from bands to try and avoid random bands trying to add to their numbers rather than making an effort to actually get their music out there. A lot of band requests where the music doesn't really match any of the artists on my far-from-comprehensive list was the motivation. I'm of the mind that if a band really does think I would be into their vibe, they'll make the effort to send a message as to why they should be added. MySpace music-wise, if I like the first song I hear on your player... I add. If you put some creativity into your request message... I listen a bit more. And if you somehow tie in to one of the many music groups and artists I already dig... or are actually looking to build a fan rather than a number, I often buy the music. ;) Messages over random friend requests are preferred unless there's some other way I may know of you...

I love the Canadian music scene that continues to build beyond the realm of the major multi-national labels still trying to make the world fit them rather than adapt to fit an ever-changing world. I do what I can to support and foster the music I love. In my offline life that is the real, I'm a lawyer with experience in drafting/reviewing a myriad of different agreements and licenses among other things. So if you're an indie musician or label looking to retain legal counsel, message me. If I dig the music, I may offer a discount on my retainer.
