if then do is a response. flickering across three cities, it is an answer to our anxiety, a scratched-out purpose inspired by those who have come before to bury their ideas in the roots of the world. from there we think, carefully. we listen, consider, criticize, and urge our sounds through the doors that have been opened for us, seeking a path of our own, slowly: one steeped in vitality and the urgency of new ways of putting together. trying to catch up; keep up; keep moving-- touching, in our own way, what we can, in our ambition for sound, in our curiosity, in our lushness of listening, in the possibilities of songcraft and composition. etching what we can of our will to reinvention and evolution. if then do is an attitude toward sound; a sensibility borne of noise, dance, abstract electronix, om, plainsong, power, improv and composition but most of all any and all music borne of ideas and love. ..
