COLLEGE RADIO CAMPAIGN STARTS ON A HIGH NOTE
New Set of LA-Area Dates Announced
New York, NY – (April 2nd 2009) – With the impending national release of their debut
full-length, AN ACT OF COMMUNICATION, on May 19th, LA-based alt rockers, JULIE
THE BAND, have begun their College Radio Campaign. Planetary Group pulled off an
auspicious start with 85 adds! Early believers of their single, “Foggin Up A Clear View,”
include WMUC in College Park, MD, WRCU in Hamilton, NY and KCSS in Turlock, CA.
Five stations, WLOY in Baltimore, MD, WVOU in Collegeville, PA, KRCX in Denver, CO,
WOUB in Athens, OH and WQAC in Alma, MI, were so impressed with the single that
they gave it an official CMJ add. Other stations, such as M3 Radio in New York, WFTU
in Dix Hills, NY, WUMM in Machias, ME and WKPX in Ft. Lauderdale have begun on
charting the single in their Top 30 at #3, #12, #18 and #28 respectively.
JULIE THE BAND adds depth and whimsy in equal measure to their eclectic sound. A
post-punk edge paired with horn-section heightening makes their music unlike anything
you have heard before. Their live show is as spectacular as the music – adding belly
dancers, live strings and horns to their amped-up performance style. Be sure to check
