It's only punk rock n roll but we like it!!!!! K-Jell a real punk rock band from Os Rock City (Osoyro), a small town outside Bergen in Norway. K-Jell are Kjell Mobergs solo project, ego trip, his way of just doing what ever he want with his punk rock music. The idea of K-Jell is nearly 20 years old, but Kjell Moberg didn't find the time to start recording songs and putting the band K-Jell together before in 2006. K-Jell's a mix of Kjell Mobergs love for punk rock, metal and good independent rock n roll. K-Jell often get compeered with and described as a fantastic mix of different punk sounds, which makes you think about bands like: Ramones, Cock Sparrer, The Jam, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, Rancid, NoFx, Bad Religion and Green Day. K-Jell have released 2 CD singles which totally reached 25.000 units, and 2 CD/albums which reached totally 15.000 units so fare. K-Jell have appeared on different compilation CD's all over the world which have reached over 150.000 units totally, so fare... A new album from K-Jell will be out in 2011 on October Party Records. K-Jell hardly ever play in Europe or in the USA. But have made tremendous tours in China/Asia where K-Jell played for as many as 10.000 people at one show. K-Jell is described as one hell of a super live act, the band always deliver great shows to their fans. That's also why the fans love and support the band back in the way they do. The fans are true supporters of K-Jell and the bands music. K-Jell are not a political band and will never be. This is the real deal, no hidden political bullshit agenda, just pure punk rock n roll. Lyrics always are made out of bits and pieces of Mr K-Jell him self, Kjell Mobergs everyday life. On You Tube there are hundreds of videos from different K-Jell tours for you to watch. A little history here now on how K-Jell came about: Kjell Moberg started his carrier as a young punk rock artist way back in 1982 (when he was only 12 years old). The first live video of him (from 1984) you can now see on You Tube. S P Y was the punk band called and their shows where famous. Other band Kjell Moberg played in since the early 80's and up till he went solo with K-Jell, you also find them all on You Tube: Psychokillers and the blockheads, Rasputinene, Sound Of Confusion, Punishment Park and JEF. For 10 years (1990-2000) Kjell Moberg toured Europe with Punishment Park and the band was a Hugh success in Europe. The next 5 ½ years (2000-2006) Kjell Moberg played with his band JEF which also toured all over Europe and made a different. It was through JEF Kjell Moberg for the first time would get a chance to connect with Chinese punk rockers and to tour in China. This happend after getting to know two of the best punk bands in China, SUBS and SMZB, early in 2005. Making friends with these two great Chinese bands opened a lot of new doors. JEF where one of the first international bands ever to do a major tour all over China. Kjell Moberg also started October Party Records in Beijing together with SUBS lead singer Kang Mao. This was one the first independent punk rock label in China back in 2006. Today October Party Records has over 50 releases in China and over 20 tours for international bands in China, not only punk rock. Kjell Moberg is a real DIY punk rock n roller. He survived all ups and downs of punk rock through the years. Never been signed to a major label, always finding his own way. The feeling for the music and the freedom of punk rock has been stronger than any other trend or offer which came and went over the last decades. 30 years of Punk Rock and still going strong, now with his solo project K-Jell.
