About me:
Honest, truthful, determined, fights for a belief when the belief is strong, passionate, genuine, persistent, risk-taker..... fighter for truth and honesty...analytical, kind, caring, slightly crazy but in the Vala (SG1) way (and long for that same understanding and acceptance for who I am - all of me - too), strong, diligent, quirky, empathetic... I like things that challenge me in different ways and discussing events that happen globally. I enjoy and need intellectual and creative stimulation. I like being somewhere totally lost in the marriage of myself and nature. I like to think. I like to feel, but not feel too much. People who challenge me, captivate me. You can find a little more of my thoughts on the Irish Independent website through the disquis platform about topical and national issues outside of what I post here http://disqus.com/disqus_GeXsbBrjvw/ I'd like to one day personally thank every artist and musician, every writer, scientist, theorist, computer enthusiast and the whole Internet community for the contribution they have made and the positive influence, inspiration and guidance they have given to life and humanity.Who I'd like to meet:
Tenzin Gyatso, Chade-Meng Tan, Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela, Sir David Attenborough, the late Dr Henry Edward Roberts, Gene Roddenberry (in space, I should hope), Mary Robinson (for a second time), Michelle Obama, David McWilliams, Hillary Clinton, the Reuters Team to thank them for their accurate and timely information on both Japan and Libya. Positive, honest, genuine, nice, quirky, logical and creative, realistic, idealistic, artistic, thinkers, doers, writers, theorists, philosophers, kind people with a wicked sense of humour and the feeling to make me be. Open minded. People who believe in what is possible.Stream

He and the many scum like him, the paedophiles themselves and those who protected the paedophile scum (like this scum Sean Brady) is one of the many many many reasons I could never see anything to connect God and Jesus to the Roman Catholic Church. There are days when I am so thankful to my mother, who was RCC, who back in the 1970s actually sat up and paid attention to the quiet reports of child abuse by the RCC, who when she married was ORDERED by the Bishop to raise the children Catholic, she told him very politely in her ever subtle way to F Off and not be told how to raise her children by the RCC. Who knows what otherwise might have happened to my siblings and I?

If you haven't caught this ad already somewhere of the last couple of weeks (and believe me I was gutted when I realised what it was for, didn't make me buy a Lexus but did irk me enough to dig it out online and see who made it!) it is worth reading up on and watching it and some of the other pieces. It's been a long, long time since an ad, when seeing it for the first time, stopped me in my tracks (and I generally don't see ads anymore, not watching much tv is good for you and having an ad block on a browser!) Very simple, not completely unique reminds me of an old Fanta ad from early 90s
Ad of the Day: Giant Metal Puppet Finds Love in Lexus Spot From CHI and Daniel Kleinman | Adweek
There's nothing that car companies seem to love more than showing off their creativity by producing short films that have practically nothing to do with their actual products. Such is the case with this new Lexus spot from CHI & Partners, the first in the automaker's "Amazing in Motion" series.

(via Christine) :) some wise words from Christine :)
I was asked yesterday by a young person..."What should I do with my life?". Being asked for my advice, I offered this...Set your sights high. Dream big. Fall in love, and get your heart broken. Make mistakes and learn as many lessons as you can along the way. Simply live. Pretty simple answer I guess, but the truest advice I know of. May life be for all today as beautiful as they ever wished it could be. Blessed Be!

Day in day out........... regardless of country it just never ends. What have humans done, what happened, for humans to be this way? Is this the only progress we can make anymore, the only way humans can express themselves? Every day another bomb somewhere in some country, if not a bomb than people welding knives, guns, meat cleavers across many countries, more military arms to explode the Earth a thousand times over - futile for a specious so behind in technology and inter stellar travel - where is the logic but within the logic of fear and destruction,?

Pope Francis has been mildly surprising thus far, but this, this I agree on reaction and say actions speak louder than words. Many crimes have been committed against humans by the RCC in this country, against children and against women, but not just in Ireland, in too many countries for too long and I fear as where Catholicism spreads, so will those same crimes, that nobody has really been held accountable or responsible for, which despite these hollow words, most likely are continuing on with the same abuse of power and the same threats to those victimised, just somewhere else. The article does not describe what sort of punishment either.

The films I like (in no particular order) are horror, comedy, animated, thriller, action, martial arts, sci-fi and occasional drama and chick flicks (within reason - it needs to be realistic!). I like accurate adaptations of novels and stage plays that truly reflects the uniqueness of a novel and the story told honourably. Content and storyline are in important. It has to be interesting. A well-written story is better than nonsensical mish-mash. Script and dialogue matter. The story matters. Especially if it is a story of humanity. In saying that, action films get my adrenaline going. Exploding cars, rocket launchers, car chases, bombs and hairy scary stunts fill a lust.. and all things that go 'pew, pew, pew' :) Terrifying stomach turners of horror which make me turn off the lights and sit alone watching in suspension. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twixt---The Other Guys---Inside Man---The Experiment---The Blind Side---Tears of the Sun---Ip Man---Martyrs---Burn After Reading---The Sinking of the Laconia--Chronicles of Riddickick--Deja Vu--Princess Miononoke--The Onion Movie--The Stand (mini tv series)--Rear Window--V for Vendetta--Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole---Hancock--The 4th Kind--District 9--Lola Rennt--The Fifth Element--There Will Be Blood--Unthinkable--The Spirit--Shaloin Soccer--Kung Fu Hustle--The Slammin' Salmon--True Grit--Tron (original)--Tron:Legacy--Open Range--The Mist--Event Horizon--The Bank Job--Suicide Kings--Serenity--all Resident Evil--Seven Pounds--Wall Street--Wall Street-Money Never Sleeps--Leon--Bolt--The Count of Monte Cristo--How To Train Your Dragon--Jonny Mnemonic--Transformers--Incredible Hulk-- Platoon--Akira Kurosawa's Dreams-- Gran Turino--Push--Crash--The Shining--ET--Ringu--A Scanner Darkley--Evil Dead series--Death Proof/Grindhouse--Pulp Fiction--Kill Bill--Big Lebowski--Terminator series (except T3 Connor was a wimp)--Lethal Weapon series--The Last Boy Scout--Dances With Wolves--Sin City--I Am Legend-- Dawn of the Dead--The Matrix--The Animatrix--Clerks--Mallrats--Chasing Amy--Dogma--Clerks 2 --Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back--Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind--Ice Age--Snatch--Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels-- --Star Trek films--Fargo--Planet Terror--Braveheart--Mad Max--Toy Story--Cars--Star Wars--Barton Fink--Sunshine--Spiderman--Stardust--Sleepless In Seattle--Clockwise-- Stargate films--Monsters Inc--Land of the Dead--Gone in 60 seconds--Pirates of the Caribbean--To Kill A Mockingbird--Dazed and Confused--Apocalypse Now--Bridge Over the River Kwai--Wayne's World--Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey--Hostel--Die Hard--Lord of the Rings--Back to The Future--Pan's Labyrinth--About a Boy--Batman Begins--The Dark Knight-- Indiana Jones-- Van Helsing--Underworld--X-Men--Saw--Fantastic Four--White Noise--Resident Evil-- Aliens--The Santa Clause--You've Got Mail--Beverley Hills Cop--Romancing the Stone--As Good as it Gets--Easy Rider--Interview with a Vampire--Queen of the Damned--Boys on the Side--Shirley Valentine--Girl Interrupted--Finding Nemo--The Blues Brothers--2001: A Space Odessy----2010: The Year We Make Contact-- The Lake House---Sleepy Hollow---Edward Scissorhands---Corpse Bride--Coroline--Romeo and Juliet--The Wizard of Oz-- Bedknobs and Broomsticks--Fame--Chronicles of Narnia--Mary Poppins--Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy--Rope--Jaws--James Bond films--The Muppets--The Goonies-- Groundhog Day--Moulin Rouge--Phantom of the Opera--Stand By Me--Planet of the Apes--The Basketball Diaries--Lawnmower Man--Forrest Gump--The Green Mile--Close Encounters of a Third Kind--Original version of The Wicker Man--28 days later--28 weeks later--Rocky Horror--The Fog--The Descent 1&2--The Incredibles--Robots--The Snowman--A Christmas Toy--Ghostbusters--An Affair to RememberTelevision

Documentaries such as Earth, Wildlife and Nature, Science and Technology, Space, Physics, Medical, etc. If National Geographic or the BBC makes it, it's worth watching..Books
There is nothing better than leafing through pages of words captured on paper; the ideas, thoughts, images, concepts and stories of someone or something else are so fascinating. I've just finally uncovered half my book collection that takes up one full 6 shelved bookcase and I'm so happy. I've missed my books being on hand. I've missed them. In this half of the collection it comprises of books on Space, Science, Evolution, Physics, Witchcraft, Buddhism, Marketing, Advertising, Economy, Psychology, Behaviour Modification, Classic novels, Crime, Poetry, Plays, Cooking, Craft books, History, Art Gallery and Artist collection books, Neurology, Economics.... I'm still hoping to one day finish building the whole collection of Rudyard Kipling's novels published from the 1920s that have the Indian sign for Peace on them (2 versions, red and blue). And I love collecting different versions of the same book...one of my favourites is an edition of Melville's Moby Dick that is so beautifully presented, a rare and true find. Someday I'll have my library of books with the knowledge absorbed to be passed down generations :) My tastes in novels is as diverse as music and films. I never stick to one genre, one type of writing or one form of expressionHeroes
