Shimmering Lights reviews:
"One of the most innovative bands, both live and on record... (Shimmering Lights is) stonking and immediately-pleasing" -Almost Gold Recordings
"Off-kilter pop songs with a newfound sonic grittiness that recalls old Flaming Lips... a fantastic record that you should buy on vinyl right now" -AUX
"Continues the band's remarkable evolution... entirely unique... less power-pop than epic pop... they're finishing (the decade) as a pop force" -FFWD
"Hot, sticky and awesome" -RCRD LBL
"Jittering and tightly-packed" -National Post
"Glossy and greasy at its best" -Exclaim
"Smart, crisp, and extremely hooky" -Crawdaddy

"By the time it wraps up, you could've sworn it just began... a short-but-sweet rollercoaster" -Chart
"You need this album... An experimental, dynamic record... it's full of surprises" -TMiM
"Never has surviving the Night of the Living Dead sounded like such a party" -Dose

In Eye Magazine's To Do List, "They formed originally as a three-piece back in 1997 and were the first Canadian band to sign with the cachet-heavy V2 Records, gaining international attention and acclaim for their debut when the label collapsed in 2007. Now that they've received steady label support from Nevado and Last Gang, they’re ready to start writing a new record in the next couple of months"
soaked up your set at the great hall of amenti w/ ruby coast. wicked set, alot of nice colors.

Best Bet in this issue of Eye Magazine "After their label home of V2 Records folded in 2007, the quartet took their time coming up with a follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2006 album, Planets Conspire. Now on Nevado, Shimmering Lights represents a shift in the band’s direction, but it still delivers the noisy, catchy tunes they’re known for"

Review of Shimmering Lights in Exclaim Magazine "This album is glossy and greasy at its best, finding light heartedness in unexpected places; in "Bones Attack!!" they cheerily quip, "If I love you to death, will your bones attack me?" The foursome fit the cute, nerdy Canadian guy phenomenon going on with Tokyo Police Club and Born Ruffians (the list goes on), but they glow on their own with as much mature pep as there can be"
