I grew up listening to a full range of music thanks to my parents...they exposed me to classical music since i was in the womb, and bombarded me with killer influential greats like the beatles, stevie wonder, bread, carpenters, andrew lloyd webber broadway-ish, jackson 5, oh man the list goes on. I was always into nursery rhymes, literature and poetry as a kid, and forever intrigued by the king and queen of pop - mj and madonna, respectively. I'll admit...i think the very first rap song that sticks out in my mind was "me so horny" by 2live crew. heh, go figure. ever since then i was exposing myself to hiphop at a tender age of 9, telling top40 to go fuck itself. yeah sure i pretended to be a big fan of new kids on the block at the time but come on now, rakim, queen latifah, tone loc, run dmc, souls of mischief, naughty by nature, mary j blige, n.w.a...fak i cant even remember! but i do remember my life changing the first time i heard "protect your neck" by the WUTANG CLAN back in '93!!! It was no turning back since then, and i knew that i have found my favourites of all time. i was the loner type all throughout elementary and highschool cuz i was the only genuine hiphop'head' in my school so i was often shunned for not knowing the lyrics to bullshit top 10 crap. so yeah i was unpopular yadda yadda but i didnt care cuz i was fully engrossed in hiphop music and all the other influential songs of the older generation to even give a fuck about what others thought. sucks to be those people that slept on this shit cuz now backpackers are making a b-line their kazaa icon and downloading all this classic raw hiphop that i was crucified for listening to. suckers. so yeah i said no to boys and dating in general and cuddled my lil ghettoblaster all night all morning with the sweet sounds of community and college radio playing that hot shit. krispy biscuits, straight no chaser, beats to the rhyme, worldwideride, and most importantly...the morning driveby. that latter served as a platform for my freestyling skillz. who woulda thunk that i had it in me to rhyme on the spot? so yeah that's a lil taste of my musical influences, but mainly the shit that makes me do the things i do...i count on my surroundings and experiences for that matter, and the belief of non-conformity. all praise due to the year '93 til infinity....

You are a maniac killer.
