The Nerd Follia www.thenerdfollia.com www.facebook.com/nerdfollia www.myspace.com/nerdfollia Nerd Follia was born in 2003 and has played around 200 concerts since their first year. Among them, the most important shows are as follows: 2006 opener for the Italian rockabilly band called the Hormonauts in Switzerland with an audience of 5,000 people;The Asian Hairdressers Association's 2007 fashion event in Bangkok, Thailand's massive mall, Siam Paragon; their first TV performance playing an acoustic set on MTV Italy in 2008 as well as performances at two of Italy's main underground music festivals, Mi Ami and Saphary Summer Fest; two performances in 2009/2010 at the Tunnel Club's(Milano) sold out TILT one night event (feat. Etienne De Crecy, Les Petits Pilous, Audio Bullys). Nerd Follia released their first LP, "Customer Dissatisfaction" in 2008 selling around 1,000 copies. The single "Exterior" was aired on main music networks and radio stations such as MTV, Allmusic, and Rock TV. In 2010 the band wrote the cover song for popular UK cartoonist Weebl's Stuff and their video "Amazing Horse" hit 1.6 million views on Youtube with almost 3,000 downloads on iTunes. Nerd Follia's new album LOGOUT is scheduled for release in May 2011. The new album proposes an eclectic mix that ranges from synth rock electro and funk, to a more UK inspired indie rock. -
