Neurosis, banda de metal conformada en Bogotá D.C. en 1987 por Jorge Mackenzie (guitarrista y compositor) se constituye hoy en día en una de las bandas más representativas del metal colombiano. Neurosis ha publicado hasta la fecha 8 trabajos discográficos en formato CD y en 1999 realizó una Gira por Suramérica que abarcó 5 países (Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile y Argentina) y en 2006, 5 fechas en Venezuela. En 2007 fue invitado a Cochabamba (Bolivia) al Surmetalfest I y a Quito (Ecuador) al Quitu Raymi 2007. A nivel nacional ha realizado cerca de 60 presentaciones fuera de Bogotá D.C. en diferentes ciudades del país. Un estilo inconfundible de guitarras agresivas y unas líricas profundas y existencialistas llenas de reflexión han caracterizado el trabajo de Neurosis a lo largo de 25 años de metal honesto, sincero, sin máscaras, el cual ha logrado cautivar a miles de rockeros en Colombia y el exterior. Alrededor de más de 50 canciones compuestas por J. Mackenzie han dado toda la vida a esta irreverente banda en toda su extensión : música, filosofía, actitud, lucha y por encima de todo, lo que muchos no tienen ni tendrán :verdadero amor por el metal sin modas y libre de ataduras.Neurosis acabó de lanzar al mercado en septiembre de 2011 un MCD con 5 canciones nuevas en estudio titulado "The Horror of Chernobyl"- (3 en inglés, 1 en español y una versión acústica orquestada de la canción "Subversivos Espirituales" que fue publicada en el album "Subversivos Espirituales" del año 2005.) En este nuevo MCD Jorge Mackenzie participó en las voces, guitarras y bajos, Giovanny Roa en la batería y Brad Kole guitarrista norteamericano invitado a ejecutar los solos de guitarra. En Noviembre de 2011 Neurosis también lanzó solo para la venta por inernet un album en concierto de 17 canciones titulado "Live Thrash Attack" que pertenece a una grabación hecha en vivo por la banda en el año 2007. En este 2012 que la banda cumple 25 años de actividad musical, Neurosis planea grabar un album completo en estudio.
