Wer hat genug von der Monotonie? Wer hat genug von immer den selben Bands, die alle gleich aussehen und allesamt klingen wie eine Kopie einer Kopie einer Kopie? Für jeden der die Hand jetzt gerade innerlich hebt, gibt es Abhilfe:

Neverland in Ashes heisst die Lösung eurer Probleme und Melodic Death ist ihr Wundermittel.

Die fünf Schweine aus Köln bringen euch endlich wieder Musik, bei der man einfach nur schnippsend an der Jukebox stehen möchte. Precisely-on-point Geprügel, herausragend-höllische Harmonien und natürlich gänzlich genialer Gutturalgesang stehen auf der Speisekarte. Und wenn die Jungs von Neverland in Ashes den Kochlöffel schwingen, dann brodelt es im Moshpit. Saftige Breakdowns und dezent pikante Synthesizer-Einwürfe schaffen eine Hinterhof-Romantik, von der manche Doku-Soaps träumen.

Zum Glück sind wir nicht beim Fernsehen, denn die Halbwertzeit einer deutschen Seifenoper haben die Kölner überstanden. Seit September 2007 musiziert der Grundkern nun. Anfangs noch mit wechselnder Belegschaft bis man nun Juli 2009 die perfekte Kombination aus Fussballspielern, Medienmenschen, Weiberhelden, Nerds und Astronauten gefunden hatte! Eine typische Metalband sind Neverland in Ashes also nicht - eher fünf Chaoten die sinnlos durchs Weltall gleiten und auf den SuperGAU warten.

Und so zusammengewürfelt wie das auch klingt, läuft das in der Praxis wie am Schnürchen. Völlig verschiedene Menschen die trotzdem eine Liebe teilen:

Und Musik!

Wie sich das anhört? Eine gute Grundlage Schwedenmetal à la in Flames, dazu ein bischen Heaven Shall Burn, ein klein wenig The Black Dahlia Murder, zwei kleine Messerspitzen von Soulfly und As I lay dying, ein guter Filmgeschmack und zwei Folgen Biberbrüder.

Here’s the solution for everyone who says “YES”:

Neverland In Ashes is the answer to your needs and Melodic Death is their cure.

These five bastards from Cologne/Germany deliver music that makes you click your fingers standing by the jukebox. Precisely-on-point basting, outstanding harmonies and growls are offered on the menu. When Neverland In Ashes start mixing their ingredients, the pit's gonna seethe. Juicy breakdowns and discreetly spiced synthesizer-parts create backyard romantic that docu-soaps dream of!

Luckily this is not TV, since the half-life of a german Soap Opera has already been passed by the band from cologne. The core of the band plays music together since September 2007, initially with a changing lineup, until they have completed it in July 2009 with the perfect combination of soccer players, media people, womanizers, nerds and astronauts. Therefore, Neverland In Ashes are not a typical metal band – rather five chaots flying through the universe senslessly, waiting for the superGAU.

As conglomerated this might sound, it actually works very well. Completely different people, who share one love:

How it sounds? Well, think of a good foundation of swedish death metal à la In Flames, add a little bit of Heaven Shall Burn, a bit of the Black Dahlia Murder, one table spoon of As I Lay Dying and Soulfly a good movie taste and two episodes of The Angry Beavers.
