Bio:

.. .. Nací en Monterrey Nuevo León un 9 de febrero, pasé infancia y adolescencia en San Luis Potosí. En 1988 formé parte del grupo músico-vocal del Colegio de Bachilleres No. 17 dirigido por Salvador Álvarez. Para 1990 me integré al Grupo de Música Regional Mexicana del ITSLP, con quienes realicé diversas giras como interprete de arpa folklórica y jarana huasteca, destacando las participaciones el festival de la Herencia Hispana realizado en Tulsa, OK (EE.UU.) en Septiembre de 1992, en el Festival Folklórico de los Pirineos de 1993 realizado en la ciudad de Jaca (España) y de 1994 en Oloron-Ste.-Marie (Francia). Tambien tomé parte en el Festival Mundial de Folklore de Drummondville en la provincia de Quebec, Canadá en el verano de 1996. En 1998 participé en el “X Festival de la Canción” del ITESM obteniendo el primer lugar del evento en la etapa de Rectoría Zona Centro en la ciudad de Pachuca, Hgo. con la canción “Sin Tocarte”, obteniendo los premios por mejor letra, mejor música y mejor arreglo. En 1999 con esta misma canción participé en la final del 1er. Certamen de la Canción Potosina, ganando el derecho de participar en la grabación del CD del evento. En el verano de 2000 volví al Festival Folklórico de los Pirineos y participé en una gira por Francia, Italia y España a lo largo de dos meses. En diciembre de este año obtuve nuevamente el premio a la mejor letra en el XII Festival de la Canción del ITESM en la ciudad de Querétaro con “La Espiral de la Memoria”, en coautoría con Josué Rodríguez. Por razones del destino llegué a radicar a la ciudad de Monterrey en agosto de 2001, integrándome al Grupo de Música Folklórica “Los Pajarracos”. En el año de 2002 fui invitado a tocar el arpa para interpretar sones de Sotavento Veracruzano dentro del espectáculo “Raíces: Te, Chocolate y Café” del Departamento de Difusión Cultural del ITESM bajo la dirección de Hugo Garza Leal. En Febrero de 2003 participé en el Auditorio San Pedro y en el Teatro de la ciudad de Monterrey con motivo del XV Aniversario del Ballet Folklórico Ollin Yoliztli. Para septiembre del mismo año fui invitado a la grabación de los temas de Veracruz para los eventos del 60 Aniversario del ITESM del Estadio Tecnológico y para el Festival Internacional de Tamaulipas. En mayo de 2004 me integré al Colectivo de Cantautores Regiomontanos “Decantarte: La Canción En Movimiento”, participando en diversos eventos llevados a cabo en la ciudad de Monterrey, además de tomar parte en la grabación del CD del colectivo. De Mayo de 2005 a Noviembre de 2008 radiqué en Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. Actualmente radico en San Luis Potosí. I was born in Monterrey Nuevo Leon the 9 of February of 1972. My begin in music was at 6 years old. In 1988, I was member of the group musician-vowel of the COBACH No. 17 directed by Salvador Alvarez. In 1990 I was accepted as member of the Group of Mexican Regional Music of the Technological Institute of San Luis (ITSLP), with those who it made diverse tours, standing out the participation the festival of the Hispanic Heritage performed in Tulsa, OK (the U.S.A..) in September of 1992, the Festival Folkloric of the Pyrenees of 1993 made in the city of Jaca (Spain) and 1994 in Oloron-Ste.-Marie (France). Also I took part in the International Festival of Folklore of Drummondville in the province of Québec, Canada in the summer of 1996. In 1998 I had participated in the "X Festival of the Song" of the ITESM obtaining the first place of the event in the stage of Rectoría Zone Center in the city of Pachuca, Hgo. with the song "Sin Tocarte", besides to obtain the prizes by better letter, better music and better arrange. In 1999 with this same song I go to the Final of the 1er. Contest of the Potosina Song. In the summer of 2000 I returned to the Festival Folkloric of the Pyrenees and participates in a tour by France, Italy and Spain. In December of this year I obtained the prize to the best letter in XII the Festival of the Song of the ITESM in the city of Querétaro with "the Spiral of the Memory", in coresponsibility with Joshua Rodriguez. I moved to the city of Monterrey in August of 2001, integrating to the Group of Folkloric Music "Los Pajarracos". In the year of 2002 I was invited to play harp for mexican songs in the spectacle "Roots: Tea, Chocolate and Coffee "of the Department of Cultural Diffusion of the Technological Institute and of Superior Studies of Monterrey under the direction of Hugo Garza Leal. In September of 2003 I was invited to the recording of the songs of Veracruz State for the the events of 60th. Anniversary of the ITESM and the International Festival Tamaulipas. In May of 2004 I was member of the Colective "DeCantarte: The Song In Movement ", participating in diverse events carried out in the city of Monterrey. from May of 2005 to November of 2008 I lived in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. Currently I'm living in San Luis Potosi.
