At Shelyn Elementary School I thought I was Janet Jackson, rockin a key in a hooped earring with a black Rhythm Nation Hat and recording mixes from the radio to play for the other kids at lunch. In junior high at South Pointe than Suzanne, we all thought we were TLC wearing size 45 Mens JNCO jeans with Cross Colour tees, Sesame Street bandaids on our pants with every color Converse calling ourselves "Housers."



At Walnut Highschool, everytime there was a microphone or a cypher I was the tomboy in the middle with the boys, trying to rhyme, trying to dance, always clowning and making corny jokes cornier... just wanting to be the next Lauryn Hill (R Boogie ;) while pushing the 10ft tall speakers out to play music at lunchtime. In college, I loved Ananda Lewis and Sydney Shaw (aka Sanaa Lathin in Brown Sugar) thinking music journalism was my calling while hosting Third Floor Radio (remember three levels of positive hip hop - past, present and future? ;)...



Looking back and laughing at all the past phases of life I realize we are happiest at best when we are ourselves. Alas, being an old lady nearing the end of my twenties, (Thirty still the NEW Twenty?)... I am 100% content and happy with being me. And who is that?

I can survive without water or food but can't live without MUSIC in my life...


Sadly, I stopped growing physically at age 10 but everyday I still grow older. I'm always trying to save time in a bottle somewhere, but it always escapes. I think too much and can analyze every meeting I have with someone to correlate with the Celestine Prophecy...Call it strange but its a fun way to live...If you actually take the time to let go of what brings out your negative energy, it's crazy how much positivity will escape from you and allow you to enjoy life more... maybe a little too deep... just read the book! ;)





I forget what I say ten minutes after I just said it. I am the most stubborn and prideful person you'll meet but I'll also be there in a second if you need me. I love listening more than talking because 90 percent of what I say doesn't make sense. Guess that is the strange Spanish Filipina accent that sneaks its way out occasionally. "jesusmarijoseph!" Thanks Mom!


I fall in love with everyone I meet and want to know their life story in the first 60 seconds of meeting them...find the 6 degrees of separation...why we were destined to meet... I love to eat and I spend too much time at the record store trying to think of that dadda dadda doom song, when I am sad I go to the 99 cent store and make myself happy with gifts for everyone around me...


Fell in love with the store since I found a 92 Olympic Dream Team calendar there, it was the Rowland Hts. one and it was in 2004! Those that really know me, know that I use to stalk Charles Barkley. (Dream Team 1 MVP) If you love basketball and can answer the "three secret questions..." I'll teach you the secret handshake...





I should drink more alcohol but usually wind up ordering a coke on the rocks making the bartender laugh. I want to make you laugh with me than at me than back with me through sarcasm. It makes me happy that we can go down path A to path Z in a matter of seconds with just verbal words...


I love the Walnut Girls- each and every one of them for their own identity that shine Amy, Carmela, Desiree, Ivy, Jesselle, Jonis, Kathy, Kim, Margie, Marie, Maude, Monisa, Theresa B. and Theresa R.




They are 14 best friends I will have forever and they motivate me. I love traveling, even though a majority of the time I have to do it alone. Although lately I've been blessed to have my best friends join me as Road Warriors. But I still like to stay in the hotel room as they party it up with all of you.


Work stresses me out so I keep myself sane with music, and transforming into a Record Player. If I play that one song that makes you run to the dance floor, give eye contact to that cute guy across the way, or laugh with your friends reminiscing of old slow jam tapes with the fast beat...





than my goal is completed. I love that people don't know exactly what I do like Tommy from the TV show "Martin" or Chandelor from "Friends", so long as they know WHY I do it. Find a way to get paid to do what you love and your passion will make you work 18 hours a day without noticing you are at work... If God were to take everything I have from me and asked me to work at the Athlete's Foot again measuring feet at the West Covina Mall...





I would be happy not only because I would play my old tapes of Yo! MTV Raps again while working, but because I just love waking up in the morning for a brand new day just to live...and better yet I'd have my boys Concise, Jay P, and Analog on the Third Floor Wednesdays...Always been a tomboy, even in heels its still in me...What do I want to be when I grow up? A combo of DJ Sureshot and Kriscut... DJ Krishot? Surecut? =)


A little Tony Robbins cheesy...Awaken the Sleeping Giant...Actions speak louder than words. Yes, I wrote long and I post alot of pictures to keep up with old friends, but I'm not the dumbass who spent the time reading and looking through it. jk! ;)

You gotta MySpace, you should utilize it's tools too! Upload pix. Upload your videos. Write a blog.. Don't be shy, I guarantee it will make your life funner than it is now- because you will be capturing it all digitally somewhere to look back and "reminisce" like Pete Rock and CL Smooth! =)
