  • Black Rats review Sound-check Magazine Volume 8

Yet another band being touted by Stu Taylor,RUST hailing from Australia, deliver some fuckin'wonderful noise!!
Black Rats is a seven track masterpiece of pure punk power, played with passion so lacking in some of todays bands. This is the template that you younger bands should follow....pure,energy,loud,fast,and direct! Black Rats the title track kicks your ass and sets the scene for the rest of the album...you know exactly what is coming next, like listening to an older RAMONES album..never deviating from the winng formula! The production of this album is great, and captures the exitiement of a RUST show perfectly! These guys dont fuck around-if you like your music delivered with speed, well played and fuckin raucous,RUST wont let you down...and having that Spirit Of The Anzac you know your're gonna get a full on attack.

  • RUST Live Review Octoberpus

RUST hit us in the face hard with thier aggressive fat street hardcorepunk.Gazz on vocals toatally rules the stage with his aggressive in your face Henry Rollins style attacking vocals.   DD Black on guitar delivers a fat high speed Detriot/Radio Birdman cracking sound. This band has recently returned from a successful tour of The UK supporting bands such as The Exploited,H2O, and The UK Subs. With lots of Oi Oi and aggressive street punk chanting, the band rips through such songs as Bang Bang Bang,Black Rats,Skinhead from the burbs (a realy catchy track) You aint lived till you've  lived in a car,Rock N Roll gunslinger(with its big throbbing bass guitar intro)and finished with another catchy chanting punk tune Out in the storm which had the crowd yellling for more.
