Bio
Suicide Squid got his start in show business on the vaudeville stage in 1925 acting in a musical comedy routine with the Ritz Brothers. Cast as the "Loveable Bigot" , he toured with the brothers for 3 very successful years until an unfortunate scandal with the Andrews Sisters nearly ruined the careers of the Ritz Brothers and the Andrews Sisters. Suicide Squid was asked to leave the group, started drinking heavily and disappeared from the public eye. The next 5 years are a mystery as to Suicide Squid's whereabouts and doings although there are rumours that he spent the time in Shanghai's many opium parlours in a haze trying to forget the unfortunate events of June 27 1928. Suicide Squid reappeared into society in 1933 when he enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After which, he appeared in several Broadway shows before joining the prestigious movie studio Metro-goldwyn-Mayer. He starred in 75 films from 1937 to 1967, winning back-to-back Oscars for Captains Courageous and Boys Town. (edited for brevity) He currently travels between Sirdar, B.C. and Erfurt Germany where he is respectively a mouthy bartender or an aggressive street musician. He refuses to reveal his age or birthdate to anyone but according to my calculations, he is 107 years old. -
