THE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAM The Product Management / Black Market Music Group which is an innovative entertainment organization formed to benefit up and coming artists in Canada. As an artist management company, we act as the main liaison for our artists and provide an array of professional services to help them be successful. We believe that it’s important for each artist to focus on making music and being in the public eye; so we make that easy for them by handling the formal business relations between record labels, talent agencies, promoters, lawyers, financial representatives and any other individual or organization that the artist requires for us to deal with. In 2004 The Product Management’s Michael “Major” Malabre was the Executive Producer on 2004 Soul Clap Records compilation mixtapes “4th & Goal” & “The Soul Clap Kings” The Product Management decided to merge with Black Market Music Group in 2005 as a share holder and to go independently. To complete his merits to the game Major co-executive produced for The Nike Battlegrounds CD entitled “Coat of Arms” and The Black Market Mixtape which gravitated a fanbase for his artist. He followed up again in 2006 to release “The Re-Up” the double disc. 2007 co-produced the Cold War Mixtape with his hit single “Paper Chase” which his artist received for The Best Independent Rap Artist of the Year. With back to back singles that have charted 2008 his artist was nominated for the collaboration single “Want It”, “Paper Chase” and closed with his release “Coming to America” mixtape. 2009 JD Era has been nominated for Best Rap Single and Collaboration for the Stylus Awards and WBLK’s Unsigned Hype. The Product Management Team has been working closely with Toronto award winning Best Rap Artist JD Era who has been building himself quite a name. With 4 mixtapes behind him and an album due 2010 Era has a solid following of fans. The Product Management has helped his artist gain international exposure and is proud to be behind this artist who has gained high rotation across the world, winning international competitions, and even appeared in a major us print publication.
