Before the Music Dies  -- . I miss turning on the radio and being blown away by a sound I never heard, investigating that artist to find where and how they came up with that sound, what got them to that point. In the 70's there were so many kinds of music genres happening, the emergence of Punk and Rap, these two genres where both expressing, in those early days, angst at the political system they were crying out about society woes and it made for art and interesting music, you grew. Now with all the turmoil and confusion happening you would think there would be a sizable about of artist on the airways talking about what's going on, there are a few but you are flooded with formula music from formula minds, the music is like an artificial sweetener. Art is meant to enrich our lives, to make up think or open up the world, I think this may be too much to ask or expect from the current generation, when settling for auto-tune and formals is acceptable then music truly is dying.
