    Where to start? Maybe, why start? Is it right? Are they wrong? Should it be? Could it be? All questions that could be followed by a statement that would help define the question, or is it the question that could define the statement? Or is it the person that could find a question that causes the statement or finds the statement that causes the question? All "?'s" Life Is that a statement or a question or is everything we perceive to be not, and everything that's not, what we perceive? Life.. .. My name is Vassilios Metropoulos, better known as "V" and music and entertaining are my Life. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I have been playing, writing, and producing music for about 6 years. I use a very wide range of instruments from guitar to piano as well as bass, drums, percussion and well anything that can produce music or sound. I am inspired to learn everything about music and all of its styles. There is no top for me. I will forever be a student and one day will be someone that others can be inspired by... Before I was able to have the honor of attending Musicians Institute and play along side many professional musicians, I was lucky enough to find a few bands of different styles that I played with. This gave me a jump start on really learning and accepting that music and entertaining were forever going to be a part of my Life. Being on stage is what I work and live for. I've played stages from The Troubadour in Santa Monica CA, to numerous casinos in Las Vegas, NV. to the Electric Theater in St. George, Utah. and many, many others. I have a stage presence unlike any other with dynamic energy and explosive split personalities. It is something you can only experience if you see me playing live. I've not only toured, but have a lot of studio experience as well. I have a unique, fresh, ever-evolving creativity and have learned that the best way to write music is to do it from the heart and soul. I want my listeners to be connected to the feeling inspired by my music. Being a part of the writing process is something that I love to be fully involved in. I like to take the moment and the people around me and turn it into what I can create. Everyone else's perception of what is, or what we should or shouldn't do, does and doesn't matter. I like to challenge peoples expectations and deliver the whole package; an engaging performance that is an experience, rather than just a show. The press, sponsorships, and endorsements are things I strive for. This is a business and should be operated like one. I have enjoyed my press experiences and can't wait for more. There were times when I had to play a show, then do a radio interview, and then play another show the same night. I have been included in write ups for newspapers and magazines, such as Beverly Hills Outlook, LV Rocks and many others. I have been sponsored by Monster Energy Drink, Sam Ash Music, and ..Kaustic Clothing.. and I am always looking for new opportunities. I will live my life to achieve musical utopia. The music industry is the "hardest" I say "different" industry, to get into. I have already started to make my way into the industry and I am becoming quite successful at it. "Success is measured by ones self." Music and entertaining is something I do not take lightly. It is what I am going to do. It is where my heart and soul lie. .. .. ..     Influence is a term that refers to the ability to indirectly control or affect the actions of other people or things. The meaning of influence therefore depends on who or what is being affected, and to what end. I believe you can pick up and learn from anyone. I don't focus on only one person or style, but instead take what I can from everyone and everything around me, integrating fashion and art into the creativity of my overall performance. My musical training has taught me enough technique that I can adapt to different styles of playing. When I write and perform I play what I feel. The world to me is an influence and I use it in every way so that one day I will be considered a full/well-rounded INNOVATIVE MUSICIAN & ENTERTAINER and not just another guitar player.......

  • Sounds Like

    I have my own unique sound. Playing out of a Rivera Knuckle Head 2 power amp and Rivera Cabinet, using many different guitars such as, a Yamaha no body acoustic, PRS electric, Yamaha Classical, and customs being made as you read. I have an array of pedals to accommodate most every situation. I am in the process of creating a computer amplified FX board for my overall sounds and to replace the old fashion pedal setup. I am always trying to make something different. Technology is way to advanced not to take advantage of it. I intend to always push the envelope, and boundaries playing what I feel and not what everyone else is doing. That is what is going to separate me from the rest!
