Thanks in large part to the Cannes Film Festival, this was a great week in red carpets.  I look forward to the French-flavored-festival each year because it prompts stars to step out in their best summer-appropriate formal (and some not-so-formal) wear.  This week, I took notice of more than a few stunning starlets overseas, while also noting what those celebs who stayed stateside wore out and about.  Here’s my list of the best and the worst of the week…

Kristen Stewart took a very different direction from her “Twilight” stardom in her latest offering. “On The Road” is based on Jack Kerouac’s novel of the same name and has just debuted with its worldwide premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. If Jonah Hill, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade were charged with protecting your neighborhood, would you feel good about it? Yeah, neither would we. Which is why we’re expecting comedy gold in their new movie, The Watch. The quartet decides to team up when they come to the realization that their town is being secretly infiltrated by aliens. Um, wouldn’t you call NASA or something? Or better yet, get the hell out of town? We admire their courageousness, but somehow, when you’re still living with your mom, it makes us think you’re unfit to deal with an alien invasion.
