• The Backstreet Boys Are Reuniting… But Why?

    .
It’s official, Good Morning America will be the lucky host of The Backstreet Boys’ reunion with Kevin Richardson. The show will take place on August 31st in Central Park but our question is why?

    .
Now don’t get us wrong, we have no problem with acts like 98 Degrees and The Backstreet Boys getting back together — and in the case of Backstreet they added that they’re hard at work on a new album that will be released to coincide with their 20th anniversary — but our question is why would they want to do this in the midst of today’s boy band resurgence.
    .
Acts like One Direction and The Wanted have been at the forefront of a reigniting of the genre and while we understand this is a good opportunity for the original boy bands to get back together, it seems as if they kind of look dated at this point and there are only so many nostalgia tours that you can do before you become a caricature of your former self. (See Vanilla Ice’s cameo in That’s My Boy for a perfect example of what happens when pop stars refuse to go away.)
    .
So what’s your opinion on this issue and do you think there’s room for the full spectrum of boy bands in today’s music world? Let us know in the comments section below as you listen to some Backstreet Boys Radio!

They are the best, they never left the band so they are still together. Only Kevin did, but he is back for the 20th anniversary!! So excited!!!

What a remote bore... Boybands are annoying. On to more important news.

I used to hate boybands back in the late 90's/early 2000's prime.  Now I don't mind some of them. When BSB released that album in 2005(ish), I actually became a fan.  I wasn't crazy about their last one but they aren't really reuniting.  They've been making music and touring almost non-stop.  New music on the radio is garbage so I'm glad to hear they are coming back.
