Attention budding photographers and videographers: Dave Matthews Band are inviting fans to take part in the creation of a video for their most recent single “Mercy.” Fans can complete video or photo “tasks” and potentially have their images featured in the upcoming clip.

The band wrote on their site, “Dave Matthews Band want YOU to be in the music video for ‘Mercy.’ We will edit your pictures and film into one unique music video for MERCY. By completing and uploading one (or more) simple task(s), you may see yourself in the official video! We will be selecting one fan to win a trip to the final show of the tour (Shoreline Ampitheatre, Mountainview, CA) on September 9th. US residents only. Dave Matthews Band – Mercy
.

“Mercy” is the first single from the band’s new album, Away From The World, which will be out on September 11 via RCA. The disc was recorded with Steve Lillywhite, who produced its first three studio records – Under The Table And Dreaming, Crash and Before These Crowded Streets – and follows the band’s 2009 disc Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Dave Matthews band are touring later this summer in support of the new album. Check out the full tour dates below:
