After 3 days at St Anthony's Hospital in St Louis, we are safe back in Texas! (and heavily sedated) The rumors are true, Zak was bitten twice by a copperhead snake in Missouri hours before he was scheduled to go on stage at the Bearcat Getaway in Lesterville. Being the chowder- head that he is Zak refused the lengthy anti- venom treatment until after the show. (against medical advice) He had to be carried off stage and taken immediately by ambulance back to St Louis to receive the anti- venom. We strongly recommend anyone bitten by a snake immediately seek medical attention! At one point we were told that Zak would loose his legs... very scary. We would like to thank everyone for their help and support these last few days including but not limited to: Mama and Papa C for their unending love and support, Jason Charron and John Robinson for slaying the beast, Sherry Perry for her wheelchair driving and around the clock TLC, Jim Bay and family for pork steaks, babysitting, and roadie services, Mel and Glee at Bearcat Getaway for not giving up on Zak, Billy Stresser for closing the show, Jim Miller and Bob Lipton for their support, and to all our friends, family, and fans. Zak and the boys will be back on stage this weekend at Castaways in Surfside, TX. -ZPB

I'm glad Zak's ok, and didn't lose his legs or git dead!!! Steve-o, Granny ClaraFay, Miss Rona, Lil Miss Aimee, and I send our love and get-well wishes. Sadie and Sammy say get well so you can come back and throw the ball for us!!!
Looks like that deck party will have to wait a while, from what I can see on y'all's schedule. But I can promise y'all this...no snakes!!! LOL!
