  • Track Breakdown "Who Killed ZeeK Vol. 1- The Mixtape"

Alright, so this is my first official mixtape and yes, my face is so boosted

So this mixtape is a mix of old and new tracks. Basically I took all of the show tracks that I'm best known for, plus some tracks that I kept on the DL, and then a rack of new joints. Thus creating the first mixtape. So officially this is the ablum that should've been out... with a side of new.

.) 2 Piece Lighter - This was a joint I wrote towards the end of the CDepot days. Its about taking what you got and making it work. Like taking 2 broken lignters, one's got the spark, the other's got the gas, and together they make a flame. So yeah, I was in the car on the way to a show and I needed another song. So I found this beat, remembered the lyrics, freestyled the hook and BAM! 2 Piece Lighter.

.) Vinnie Said - This one's for my crazy older brother, the mascot for the 90's, the original Super Thug... Vinnie. As crazy as he is, he still is always trying to kick some knowledge. Alot of times he's right. So this one's for Vinnie, another show track.

.) I Can Do Better - Now this one's a new joint. One of Nate's old drum & bass beats, but brand new lyrics for this one. It's really directed at all the cats I work with at my day time job, but mainly directed at all the new cats my age gettin' on right now.

.) Yeah Yeah - This was my lunch out joint. When I default to just rippin' rhymes I'm usually takin' aim at random bammas . In the hook I threw in some japanese. It's just tellin' bammas to shut the hell up. Also another new joint.

.) Grandfather Tme- This is one of my famous show tracks. Always gets the crowd hype. I could preform this joint with no Hype man and one breath and be good! It's about how time flys when you rhyme.

.) 24-7 - Here's another New Joint. This is totally me being as commercial as possible. It's about being the shit at what you do because you do it all the time.

.) CryptKeepers - Another new track, Cryptkeepers all comes from the quote "If HipHop's Dead... Then we're the Cryptkeepers!" There's a story in there, but I can't speak on it. Real lyrics for your head.

.) Where My Day Goes - Once again, another new track, " Where My Day Goes" kind of explains itself. Time is fleeting. I think of this one as a peaceful moment in the middle of chaos. Worth listening to.

.) 4 I leave Out 2 Lunch - This one isn't really new, considering it's like the third time I've written it. It's just a few things I'd like everyone to know before I leave out to lunch. Around here "Lunching" means trippin'. Some cats think I was going on them... Maybe I was. But whatever, the track just means if you think you've seen me at my best, then please believe you've only seen the trailer. The movie ain't in theaters yet.

.) Justa Lyricist - Drama. This is me briefly speaking on some drama. Another New joint.

.) Enlightenment - This one is a mix of a hook from a show track and some new lyrics. Totally spoke on some realness. A bittersweet story goes with this joint, about an angry lil' girl who unfortunately passed away before I could give her this joint. I'm pretty sure she can hear it.

.) S.H.E.I.L.A - Alright here's an old joint. S.H.E.I.L.A. stands for She Had Everything In Line Always. True story, I was at this gas station and I saw this super fine super fine lady! I kicked game, she told me her name and then when we got outside my keen detective skills let me know someone was watchin' us. Twas her man, so I immediately peace out. But we was cool! Whatever, on my way back to the gutter I banged this joint. Holla.

.) My Section- I luv this joint. Probably my favorite one. This is just me defending my territory. Shadyside District, The Wasteland!

.) Murder 2 - This is just my Killer Track. For the crazy folk

.) Tell Em - This is acutally my homie Dump's track. Featuring me and Sonny 6 with beat redone by Johhny End.

.) Life 101- Finally here goes my wrap up track. Who killed ZeeK? Stay tuned for Vol.2 " Who Killed ZeeK - Revenge Of The Fallen" for clues. For now peep this joint, it's like a survival guide for the gutter. Holla
