Bio:

“I was born in the city of Toronto,” Dan Griffin tells us in the opening line of the title track of his acclaimed 2007 EP, Stars and Satellites. The disc is a culmination of more than two years of introspective writing from the multi-instrumentalist. Raised in a musical family, Dan relocated to Hamilton in 2002 and quickly found himself involved in a myriad of projects, among them local roots/indie/pop-rock act Arkells. He joined that band as keyboardist, guitarist and arranger, all the while continuing a reclusive pattern of writing and home recording. After considerable local success with Arkells and as a solo artist, Griffin’s efforts have yielded the quiet masterpiece Stars and Satellites, which critics have described as "a touching, somber foray into deep folk, quiet pop and humble alternative country..." - (The View). Since the record’s release he has had the chance to play alongside Cuff the Duke, Elliot Brood, Luke Doucet and Jenn Grant throughout Eastern and Atlantic Canada.
