Bio
..David Picco is a singer-songwriter from Goulds Newfoundland based out of Toronto. His band Jetset Motel (check out there myspace page) released a new album on April 22nd of this year. The self-titled album features 8 new songs by Picco and 2 songs by guitarist Jimmy Rose. "It's a bit of a departure from the first record...a lot more rockin'. I didn't wanna repeat myself, all my favorite songwriters keep mixing it up". His debut album "Saturday Night Sunday Morning" was released in 2006 on the indie label Mag Wheel Records to positive reviews. Eye magazine compared it to Wilco's Summerteeth and called it "positively heart-melting". It received continuous play on CBC radio and some of the songs were later used as a live soundtrack to the play "The Devil You Don't Know" at Theatre Passe Muraille in Toronto. 5 of the songs were also featured on the CMT show "Three Chords From The Truth"... ..David has twice toured the east coast and plays in Toronto and around Ontario with Jetset Motel. He also plays guitar for legendary songwriter Kyp Harness, who's upcoming album he produced. "I first saw Kyp play at The Cameron House and was blown away. Me and my brother were beaten up by cops at a Bob Dylan concert just weeks earler for trying to find a better seat and when I saw kyp I realized that not only are his songs as good as Dylan's, but I won't get arrested if I wanna get a closer look". .. ..Although he'll be busy this year touring and promoting both the Jetset Motel and Kyp Harness albums, he'll be playing some solo dates and releasing a new solo album in February of 2011... -

great album!!! regards from Spain
Great album review in Now Magazine "He tackles grief, loss and love in an unhurried series of linked songs. The band’s gentle roots-rock vibe and Picco’s understated vocals have rightly inspired comparisons to Uncle Tupelo and Wilco, but the low melodies and lyric imagery recall Ron Sexsmith, the fingerpicked guitar Willie P. Bennett"
