Bio
Straight out of Canada’s murder capital, comes The Magnificent Sevens. Combining traditional bluegrass with a sense of modern mayhem, The Mag 7s give a new appreciation for folk music in the digital age. The five piece band maintains a 100% acoustic live show with no compromise. Heavily entrenched in D.I.Y. culture, The Mag 7′s respect music as an artform and not just an “industry”. No ego’s, no $40.00 hair cuts, just a group of people who love music, and aim to play it from the heart. Over the last half decade the Mag7s have toured Canada relentlessly, performing coast to coast countless times. From performing at everything from high profile festivals to dive bars , and everything in between the band has proven a relentless work ethic. With two recordings to date (Dirty Roads, 2008) and a brand new 7” collaboration with underground Canadian hero, BA Johnston, the 7s are currently in production of their 2nd full length album to be released in late summer of this year. -

Hey, this is kind of a late note to that killer fiddler in the band but I met you after Hamilton's Slut Walk (Ontario) in June and the set was awesome. You guys played This Ain't Hollywood bar. Cool green bus and a lot of laughs. You may not remember but I thought I'd say hi.
